The giant European electronics industry show Cebit 2008 reshuffled itself this year after experiencing steadily dwindling exhibitors and visitors in recent years. In its new format, CeBit is more geared towards the industry professional and less toward the end-user, and emphasizes four industry sectors:
- Home & Mobile
- Technology & Infrastructure
- Business Solutions
- Public Sector Solutions
The following brief report, prepared by Portelligent's European representative Niels Kellerhoff, provides select observations of the Home & Mobile and Technology & Infrastructure sections of the show, with a particular focus on Portable Navigation Devices (PNDs).
