LeaderPAK - Mobile Convergence

Do you need better, more detailed data on design trends, supply-chain relationships, competitive product positioning, and semiconductor design wins as WiMax/WiBro and Wi-Fi become an integral component in cellular handsets?

Just three years ago, Wi-Fi first began appearing in ultra-high end cell phones that closely resembled personal digital assistants. Since 2004, Wi-Fi has found its way into the mainstream cell phone market with recent examples such as the mid-segment Nokia 6136. Today, WiMax/WiBro is at the same stage Wi-Fi was at in 2004 with niche, high-end products including the Samsung SPH-M8100.

Portelligent is pleased to announce a LeaderPAK (Product Analysis Kit) on the dynamics impacting the maturation of Wi-Fi and the emergence of WiMax/WiBro in cell phones. The LeaderPAK for Mobile Convergence is designed to provide a highly focused selection of data-driven tools from Portelligent's product teardown library and Product Profile Database to help strategic planners, product planners, and technical marketing managers to better address the convergence of these wireless standards in the cell phone.

What is Included in the LeaderPAK for Mobile Convergence?

Customers may choose any three of the following Portelligent product teardown reports from Portelligent's report library:

• Apple iPhone (Wi-Fi)

• Nokia E61 (Wi-Fi)

• Nokia N95 (Wi-Fi)

• HTC Dash/Excalibur (Wi-Fi)

• Nokia N80 (Wi-Fi)

• Samsung SGH-i600 (Wi-Fi)

• HTC Touch (Wi-Fi)

• Nokia N91 (Wi-Fi)

• Samsung SPH-H1200 USB Dongle (WiBro)

• HTC TyTN (Wi-Fi)

• Nokia N92 (Wi-Fi)

• Samsung SPH-M8100 (WiBro)

• Nokia 6136 (Wi-Fi)

• Nokia N93 (Wi-Fi)

• Samsung SPH-P9000 UMPC (WiBro)

For customers who want additional product teardown analyses from this list, beyond the first three, we provide a 50-percent discount from our standard single-report pricing.

In addition, customers receive a database extract derived from the Portelligent Product Profile Database that includes full system-level metrics on all the above products.

How is the Information Delivered?

Portelligent will provide the selection of product teardown reports to the customer electronically, in .pdf format. The database extract on mobile convergence systems is also delivered electronically, in an Excel spreadsheet. All files are downloaded from a "private page" on the Portelligent Web site.

Price: $7,500 for the standard LeaderPAK, with three product teardown reports. Current Portelligent Channel Licensees who seek access to the database extract should contact us.

Who Will Benefit from the LeaderPAK for Mobile Convergence?

Portelligent has designed the LeaderPAK for Mobile Convergence as a tool that will assist in technical and business decision making within firms that are engaged in the cellular and broadband sector, or have a business need to track developments in the sectors on a systematic basis. Among the functions that will find the LeaderPAK useful are:
