LG Insignia NS-DXA1 Digital TV Converter: The LG Insignia NS-DXA1 DTV tuner converts digital broadcast signals to analog, allowing continued use of analog TVs after the February 2009 deadline for converting to digital equipment. Though pushed back several times, that date appears more certain with affordable converter boxes now on the market. On the face of the converter box is an LED status light, two memorized channel-scan buttons, and the power button. On the back are the standard antenna in/out and A/V jacks. The product is shipped with a handy IR remote, battery included. Other accessories include an RF coax cable, A/V cables, and a user guide.

Navigon 7100 GPS Personal Navigation Device: The Navigon NVG7100 GPS unit provides turn-by-turn visual and audio driving directions. Unlike other manufacturers at the time of this report, Navigon provides free lifetime traffic information via a built-in TMC (Traffic Message Channel) receiver. The unit is equipped with a touchscreen overlay on a 4.3-inch TFT-LCD display (480 x 272 pixels; 262,144 colors). Maps come preloaded on the provided SD card. Power is provided via a car adapter or an internal Li-ion battery. Navigon provides a suction cup for mounting the device to the windshield of a car as well as a mounting disk for attaching it to the dashboard.
